Where are you headed and who are you taking with you?

I saw this the other day and it made me think of mindset in general.

We absolutely MUST get our eyes off of the problem and on to the promise of God! When we see and act through eyes of promise and truth rather than fact and problem, it changes absolutely EVERYTHING!

Everything becomes possible through the promise of God and nothing becomes impossible. No problem is too big because we actually see and witness our God and His promise being bigger than any problem. We can go through ANYTHING and NEVER be destroyed. We can come out MORE than conquerors and bring those around us with us.

Where are you headed and who are you taking with you?

Being an Over-Comer

Biblically, the word “Christian” is synonymous with “overcomer.” The word “overcome” is also synonymous with the word “vanquish” which means to DEFEAT in ANY contest or conflict; be VICTORIOUS over. (Dictionary.com)

So…

If we break down the word itself, over and come, we see that we must go over and we must come. Being “over” something is a place of authority or a place that denotes a besting of something. “Come” means that you actually walk or go through and not just (poof) appear.

Therefore…

If we are “over-comers,” then we not only bested our situation (whatever it may be) but we went through it. Realizing this will change your perspective of every situation. You are not meant to be saved from it, but saved through it. God does not “poof” you out of things. He does walk with you through them in such a way that you ALWAYS win, you always end up “over” the situation after having “come” through it.

Don’t look for your way out, look for His way through. That’s where the victory is.

“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and makes evident everywhere the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him.”

2 CORINTHIANS 2:14 AMP

He’s in the waiting…

God is ALWAYS on time and He is all up in that waiting period. NEVER doubt that. What He has promised… He has promised, has guaranteed, has provided for, is bringing to pass… in HIS timing and His way. TRUST!!!

🎶And You who hold the stars

Who call them each by name

Will surely keep Your promise to me

That I will rise in Your victory

Take courage my heart

Stay steadfast my soul

He’s in the waiting

He’s in the waiting

Hold onto your hope

As your triumph unfolds

He’s never failing

He’s never failing🎶

“Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying: “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace. “For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all nations: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.””

There was also a prophet, Anna, the daughter of Penuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.”

It all comes down to perspective.

I was talking to a friend yesterday and I made the statement, “It all comes down to perspective. Are you seeing life from your perspective or from God’s?”

The thing is, we get so bombarded by our five senses and what the enemy and the world want us to see that it is so hard to see from God’s perspective so much of the time.

But…

If we can determine to fully be aware of His presence in even the smallest details of our lives, while we are driving in the car, fighting with our husband, playing with our kids, trudging through life…

If we can determine to pray without ceasing, to bring every detail of our life before Him, seek His kingdom and will and wisdom in all of it…

Then, we can easily see from His perspective and everything about our lives will change. We will see every moment as the opportunity that it is and we will be able to make good and right and Godly choices, ones that bring peace and blessings in the long run, ones that further His kingdom, and by association, us. That situation that looks so dismal and impossible and depressing can suddenly become a blessing, and with our spiritual peepers open, it won’t even be in disguise!

Let God work things together for your good today. Choose to see your life from His perspective by seeking Him in all of it.
